The purpose of this study is to develop a postdivorce adjustment group for the divorced women to support them and to help for coping psycho-social problems. The Postdivorce Adjustment Group Program(PAGP) was designed through research review, telephone counseling, and case study interview, and applyed, evalued and revised several times from March, 1997 to November, 1998. Through four preliminary group experiences, several limitations and ideas were finded. In the last group, this study analysed the tape-recorded materials and the scales of self-esteem, life satisfactory, attachmentof the ex-spouse, and CPC. The subjects were fifteen women. their cause of divorce were debauchery of ex-spouse, assault of ex-spouse, cinflict of parents of in-law. The separated, women were included. In several aspects, PAGP contributed to group members. 1) The group experience provides needed support and information such as child discipline methods, the importance of emotional detachment from the ex-spouse, the coping strategies to psychological problems. 2) This group provides the opportunity to ventilize the negative feeling such as sense of failure, loss, depression, and aloness. 3) This group provides the belonging to group members and functions as social network and self-suopport group. Implications and suggestions for the postdivorce adjustment were explored and recommendations for the good programs were included.
