경찰공무원의 스트레스가 이직에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Effect of Stress on the Turnover of Police

국문 초록 (Abstract)

경찰공무원은 특히 보수와 승진의 문제와 경찰 본연의 업무인 공권력의 집행자로서 공권력이 무시당하는데 대한 고민 등으로 많은 스트레스를 겪고 있다. 이러한 스트레스 요인들은 경찰들의 집단적인 의사표시나 행동 및 직무불만 나아가 이직의 증가로 나타나고 경찰에 대환 사회적 평가를 떨어뜨리는 결과를 낳고 있다. 본 연구에서도 승진, 역할과부하, 보수로 인하여 스트레스를 많이 받는 경우 경찰공무원은 이직의도가 높게 나타났으며 또한 경찰환경적요인들로 인한 스트레스를 받는 경우도 이직의도가 높게 나타나는 것을 알 수 있었다. 즉 스트레스를 지각하게 되면 경찰공무원의 직무만족에 부정적인 영향을 미치며 결국 이직에까지 영향을 주게 된다. 그러므로 향후 스트레스 유발요인의 상황이 발생하더라도 스트레스를 덜 지각할 수 있는 방법을 밝혀 경찰인력의 효과성과 능률성, 경찰서비스질을 향상시켜 경찰조직 발전을 이루도록 하여야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Our police officers have been experiencing lots of stresses largely due to problems of payment and promotion and agony came from citizens' disregard on law-enforcement authorities on the course of excercising governmental authorities which is their primary task as law enforcement agents.
These causes of stresses not only induce police officers' collective express of opinions, collective actions, job dissatisfaction and increase of change of occupation rate but also make social evaluation on police low.
This thesis will show that the intention of change of occupation is strong among the police officers who experience stresses due to problems of promotion, payment and mission overloads. And police officers exposed by a lot of stresses from police environmental factors also show high level of strength of their will to change of occupation.
This means that when police officers perceive stresses, it gives negative effect on police officers' job satisfaction and furthermore affects their mind of change of occupation.
Accordingly, we should find the way how our police officers can less perceive stresses even though there are stress factors around them so that we can promote the efficiency and effectiveness of police manpower and quality of police service. This will eventually help to achieve the development of police organization.
