The aim of this study is to make clear the significance of an aesthetic experience, to make a search for an aesthetic theory, moral feeling concerned the aesthetic experience, and to research the direction of the moral education through the aesthetic experience. The Dewey`s aesthetic experience and theory will be examined with regard to their influence on the art education and the moral education. In effect, this study is about how Dewey`s aesthetic theory depended on his empirical philosophy. According to Dewey, the experience is constituted by the interaction of human organism and the environment. Thus Dewey objects to the traditional empiricism which regarded the world of experience as incomplete and fragmentary. Dewey tried to restore the continuity between everyday life and the aesthetic experience by trying to find the aesthetic experience in the process of life as a whole. Therefore, he concludes that for him, daily life is full of aesthetic experience and aesthetic experience as `an experience`. He explains that art is a complete form generated from practical daily experiences, challenging the traditional view that art is dualistic. The aesthetic experience includes creative activities and appreciative acticities. The imagination is the great instrument of moral good, and through imagination children express their fruitful consciousness to others. In approaching Dewey`s aesthetic experience to the moral education, this study has found that his moral theory is based on the aesthetic experience and enlightening the mora feeling through the aesthetic experience contribute cultivating the morality.
