This study was focused on antecedents and consequences of organizational commitment. The sub-variables of antecedents were role ambiguity, role conflict, job challenge and job freedom. The sub-variables of consequences were potential separation, potential absenteeism, job performance and job satisfaction. In this study, data were collected using self-administered questionnaires completed by employee of sport centers(n=297) located in Seoul city. Data were analyzed using SPSS programs including reliability, correlation among the three main variables, multiple regression between job characteristic and organizational commitment, and one-way ANOVA between organizational commitment and consequence variables. Using this analysis, the study found evidence of a directional relationship between some variables and organizational commitment. In summery, the present study showed that organizational commitment was also predicted by role ambiguity, role conflict, and job freedom among job characteristics as a antecedents and had an effect on the job performance and job satisfaction as a consequences.
