유치원 교사의 장학정책과 기능 인식에 관한 연구 = A Study on the improvement of supervision in early childhood education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유치원 교사들을 대상으로 현재 실시되고 있는 장학정책과 장학기능에 관한 인식을 살펴보고 유치원 교사들에게 실질적인 도움을 줄 수 있는 바람직한 장학이 이루어질 수 있도록 장학활동의 방향을 제시하고자 수행되었다. 연구결과, 유치원 교사들은 행정조직에 유아교육 장학을 위한 별도의 조직이 필요하며 각종 교육정보와 자료를 제공하는 역할을 수행하기 원하는 것으로 나타났다. 교사들은 유치원에서의 주요 장학기능으로는 바람직한 교수-학습 방법의 습득과 제공을 들고 있으며 자율장학을 선호하는 한편 시범수업 후의 평가가 바람직한 방법이라고 응답하였다. 교사들은 장학활동이 자신의 교수기술 개선에 도움을 주지 않을 뿐만 아니라 제반 근무여건이 장학활동에 참여하도록 동기를 제공하지 않는다고 응답하였다.

The present study is an attempt to find measures to improve supervision in early childhood education. The goal of the study includes analysis of the changing process of the system and policy of supervision and opinions of the early childhood teachers on the system of supervision, functions of supervision, supervisory methods.
As for the system of supervision, this study found that Ministry of Education and Local Offices of Education should provide motivation to participate in supervision, to improve qualifications of supervisor, and to establish unitary system of educational professionals. Ministry of Education and Local Offices of Education should also provide early childhood teachers with various information and resources for effective supervision.
This study also found that early childhood teachers reclassifying the teacher's job and considering teacher's needs of supervision, and director's leadership would be required to participate more actively in supervision.
