This study was designed to determine the relative importance of age, sex, ordinal position, socioeconomic status T.V. peers, and family in explaining the several consumption-related skills.
Data were collected in May 1985 in Seoul and analyzed using multiple regression.
The results were as follows;
1. Age was significantly related to consumer activism, finance management, attitude toward advertising, and economic motives.
2. Ordinal position was related to finance management and social motives.
3. Socioeconomic status was related to social motive.
4. T.V. viewing was related to consumer activism, and consumer affairs knowledge.
5. Family communication was related to consumer activism, finance management, consumer affairs knowledge, economic motive, and attitude toward advertising.
6. Peer communication was related to consumer activism, and social motives.
