      Since computer technology was introduced to the field of education, it has offered an expanding range of interactive possiblities which are remarkably powerful and helpful for the learners. Based on these possibilities, the concept of interaction, one of the many potentials of computer technology, is being emphasized. Through this research, the importance of interaction can be confirmed specifically for web-based learning systems to fully utilize the capabilities of today's powerful computer technology.
      This research focused on discovering many possible strategies so that learners may experience multiple interactive learning systems which promote their active participation and involvement, suggesting the strategies for interaction improvement. In order to investigate the elements of instructional design which influence on the interaction between learners and learning systems, numerous related literatures were reivewed and analyzed. The focus of this research was confined to aspects of learning systems which included the elements. These elements were grouped into nine categories. Based nine categories, the strategies for interaction improvement between learners and learning systems were suggested.
