한국사회의 다문화화와 교육의 과제 = An Educational Task on the Multiculturalism of Korean Society

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The main purpose of this study is to discuss a necessary educational undertaking which will allow Koreans to understand the diversity of global culture, and to discern their own cultural identity: eventually, it will lead Koreans to build cultural competitiveness and competence within rapidly changing global society. Therefore, this study will firstly raise on issue of multicultural education in Korea, and analyze the reasons of multiculturalism of Korean society and its changing phenomenon in relation to the tend of global awareness and global integration. Finally, based on a philosophical and social examination on the multiculturalism of Korean society this study would like to suggest a direction of mlticultural discipline in Korean educational system by providing concrete educational strategies establishing an insightful pedagogical context and method.
