포토보이스 활동을 통한 고려인 아동의 일상생활 경험과 의미: 가정･학교･지역사회 생활을 중심으로 = Exploring the Experiences and Meaningfulness of Everyday Life for Koryeoin Children through Photovoice Activities: A Focus on Home, School, and Community Life

This study, carried out through photovoice activities, explores the everyday experiences of Koryeoin children in their homes, schools, and communities. By investigating the contexts of places, relationships, and activities, the research aims to pinpoint implications for the healthy growth and social adaptation of Koryeoin children in Gwangju. Six Koryeoin children residing in the Koryeoin-town area of Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, actively participated in the <Speaking through Photos> initiative. They captured and shared images portraying their preferred places, people, activities, and objects. The analysis revealed three key themes for each context. In the context of home life, the identified themes include ‘special family moments,’ ‘my own place and activity,’ and ‘goal-oriented challenges.’ In the context of school life, the themes comprise ‘creating remarkable school experiences,’ ‘interaction with teachers and peer,’ and ‘a day I feel excited about going to school.’ Finally, the themes associated with community life encompass ‘a joyous neighborhood,’ ‘heartwarming gatherings with smiles,’ and ‘new and exciting experience.’ Based on these findings, recommendations for the healthy growth and stable adaptation of Koryeoin children include fostering a sense of place across homes, schools, and communities for identity discovery and overall well-being. Promoting diverse communication methods and mutual interests is suggested to expand and strengthen social relationships. The study emphasizes the need for systematic, ongoing attention, and support to acquire and utilize educational resources for Koryeoin children.
