Zen Buddhism, a sect of Buddhism, placed the most importance on the experience of intuition because it was said that one could attain enlightenment and Buddhahood through meditation or practice alone, regardless of scriptures or worship space. The distinguishing characteristic of Seon Buddhism is that it ignores scriptures and doctrines, and adheres to the four major principles of Buddhism: non-literacy, non-examination of teachings, direct knowledge and human mind, and enlightenment and enlightenment.
