In the study of the history of people during the Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592, it is difficult to trace the entire history of an individual with the primary literature left during the war. In particular, the scarcely mentioned in the official records, the more we must rely on the records of the family. If the handwritten records of Ancestor and related evidence are provided, the description of the actions of the Ancestor can be faithfully described. In recent years, descendants of commanders related to the Japanese Invasion of Korea have tended to make the construction of a memorial hall or memorial hall along with excavating the deeds of Ancestor who fought in the Japanese Invasion, as the greatest honor project of the clan.
In this paper, it is traced whether Seon Ge-yi, a native of Boseong, participated in the war as a Yellow Sea soldier in the Battle of Ulsan Fortress in 1598. Records related to the time and place of the death of Seon Ge-yi from Boseong were reviewed. The record of Seon Ge-yi's death is not mentioned in the Annals, but is in materials published by Munjung.
Therefore, in this paper, the records related to the election were examined separately from those recorded during the survival of the election and those compiled by descendants of the clan after the death of Ancestor. We compared and reviewed the first and intermediate editions of the book of Haengjeok published by the Boseong-seon family in the 19th century. This is to examine how Seongi's personal history recorded in the mid-Joseon period was described. The purpose of this work is to provide more accurate data on the character development project in the region and family.
