유가유식종파의 신라 수용과 봉황리 마애 미륵보살반가유상군 및 고구려식 대(大)마애교각미륵불상의 종합적 연구 = A Comprehensive Study on Shilla Acceptance of Yogayushik Sect and Bonghwang-ri Carved Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Statues and Goguryeo Style Large-scale Carved Cross-ankled Maitreya Buddha Statues

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

At Chungju Bonghwang-ri Haetgolsan mountain, the carved Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Bodhisattva statue and the carved cross-ankled Maitreya Buddha statue have great significance in the history of Korean ancient sculpture.
First, when confirming the unique Jungwon Bonghwang-ri carved Buddha statues in which a large-scale carved cross-ankled Maitreya Buddha statue of the Goguryeo style and Shilla's carved Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Bodhisattva statue groups coexist, it can be seen that these Buddha statues are regarded as the most meaningful Buddha images among Korean Buddha images.
Second, the Jungwon Yongjeon-ri and Bonghwang-ri areas (formerly Gageum-myeon), where Goguryeo advanced south between 396 and 445, have a Goguryeo monument and a Goguryeo large-scale carved Buddha image, and as Shilla also advanced north in the 551st year of Great King Jinheung and occupied this area, and took over the old Goguryeo temple with a large-scale carved Buddha, it is also possible to presume that there were monumental Buddhist Projects engraving the Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Bodhisattva statue here.
Third, the Bonghwang-ri Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Bodhisattva statues are symmetrically engraved with Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Bodhisattva statues and Maitreya Buddha statues, and they are valued in that they are the first carved Buddha statues of Shilla, built in the 3rd quarter of the 6th century, by accepting the late East-Wei or the early North-Qi styles.
Fourth, since the large-scale carved Buddha image is estimated to be in the form of a Goguryeo carved Buddha image representing an upright Buddha image, if it is true, it is the only large-scale carved Buddha image in the Goguryeo style series, and it is highly regarded as Korea's first large-scale carved cross-ankled Maitreya Buddha statue, and its significance is judged to be enormous.
Fifth, it is revealed that they are the Jiron-sect or Seopron-sect’s significant and unique Maitreya Buddha statues in which the large-scale carved Maitreya Buddha statue, created by Goguryeo Yogayushik thought, and accepting this, the Bodhisattva Maitreya Pensive Bodhisattva statue and Maitreya Buddha statue coexist in the image of Maitreya Sangsaeng faith and Hasaeng faith together.
