2015 개정 고등학교 교육과정의 적용 방안과 후속 지원에 대한 탐색적 연구 = Exploring the Implementation of the 2015 High School Curriculum and Necessary Policy Supports

The purpose of this study is to investigate the limits inherent in the current high school curriculum and to present policy supports necessary for the 2015 national high school curriculum to produce positive results in practice. To achieve this goal, this study makes use of data collected through a nationwide survey on the high school curriculum, Delphi responses from curriculum specialists in provincial and metropolitan offices of education, and a simulated school curriculum according to the new national curriculum framework. The major findings reveal that the 2015 national high school curriculum is likely to result in various types of high school curriculum in practice, which suggests that comprehensive support systems should be adopted to realize the intent of the new national curriculum. Based on these results, this study proposes recommendations necessary for the successful implementation of the common and elective courses in high schools that were newly introduced in the 2015 high school curriculum. It also suggests that a more flexible and open approach to the high school curriculum is necessary, including the adoption of curriculum core schools, on-line courses, and courses offered by local offices of education.
