학대받은 아동들을 위한 이야기치료

국문 초록 (Abstract)

아동학대는 최근 우리 사회에서 점차 주목을 끄는 문제의 하나로 부상하였다. 그러나 지금까지는 학대받은 아동을 위한 치료 문헌이나 그 효과성을 입증한 문헌이 희박한 실정이다. 따라서 아동학대는 다루기 어려운 문제의 하나로 꼽히고 있다. 이 논문은 학대받은 아동들을 위한 이야기치료의 이론과 기법을 바탕으로 실제로 실시한 아동학대 치료 집단을 소개하고 있다.
이야기치료는 학대경험에 다른 의미를 주도록 학대에 대한 새로운 표현을 이끌어내는 것을 목표로 한다. 이야기치료는 학대에 대한 표현의 변화가 자아파괴적인 행동을 보이는 아동의 행동과 관점에 변화를 가져올 수 있다고 보기 때문이다. 치료자는 아동의 학대에 대한 표현이 자기혐오나 질책에서 벗어나 착취, 횡포, 폭력 등으로 바뀌도록 돕고 아동이 학대에 대해 확고한 입장을 취하도록 돕는데 주력한다. 5명의 학대받은 아동들의 이야기 집단 치료로 아동들이 학대에 대한 표현이 바뀌는 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다.
