아동청소년기 폭력노출경험과 대학생의 정신건강 = Childhood Experiences of Violence and Mental Health in Young People

The purpose of this study was to understand childhood experiences of violence from the point of ecological perspectives. To accomplish research purpose, childhood experiences of violence and young people's mental health were investigated. Research subjects were 197 college students who were taking general course at two 4 year universities located in Seoul and Incheon area. Data were analysed by use of frequencies, bar charts, chi-square, and t-test. Major findings showed that 75% of college students had experienced physical violence from their parents or teachers at elementary, middle and hight school periods. The students who had experienced physical violence had more psychological symptoms than compared groups. 25% of subjects had experienced peer violence at elementary and middle school periods and 27% of subjects had experienced parents violence between partners. Those subjects had more psychological symptoms than compared groups.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동청소년기 폭력노출경험을 생태학적 관점으로 접근해보기 위해 발달시기별로 어떤 유형의 가해자에게 어떠한 폭력행위를 경험하는지, 그리고 이를 경험한 집단의 정신건강이 비교집단과 차이가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 수도권 4년제 대학의 일반 대학생을 대상으로 아동청소년기 폭력노출경험과 정신건강을 조사하였다. 자료 분석결과 조사대상이 된 대학생은 초, 중고등학교 때 부모, 교사 등 주변 성인으로부터 신체적 폭력을 당한 경험이 많으며 이들은 비교집단에 비해 공포불안, 우울증, 적대감 등 부정적인 심리적 증상이 높다는 점이 밝혀졌다. 또한 아동, 청소년기에 또래폭력이나 부모 간 폭력을 목격한 대학생 집단도 비교집단에 비해 강박증, 우울증, 불안증, 대인예민성, 적대감 등의 심리적 증상을 많이 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
