통합교육을 위한 일반유아의 장애 이해 지원 전략에 관한 고찰 = A study on the support strategy for awareness of disabilities of young children without disabilities for inclusive education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

장애유아의 교육권리를 강조함에 따라 최근 유아교육 현장은 장애유아를 완전 통합교육할 것을 압력 받고 있다. 장애유아 통합교육을 성공적으로 수행하기 위해서는 여러 가지 전제되어야 하는 요인들이 있다. 그 중에 하나가 장애유아와 함께 교실 안에서 생활해 나갈 또래유아들의 장애에 대한 긍정적인 인식이 장애에 대해 긍정적이고 수용적이어야 한다는 것이다. 그러므로 장애유아 통합 이전에 일반유아를 위한 장애이해 교육 프로그램이 필요하다. 본 연구는 일반 유아를 위한 장애이해 교육프로그램에 관하여 선행연구들을 기초로 하여 구성하였다. 일반유아를 위한 장애이해 교육은 직, 간접적인 장애 경험, 장애에 대한 정보제공, 동화와 인형극 활용, 모의장애체험 활동으로 구성된 교육프로그램이 효과가 있다. 그러나 이러한 교육활동을 구성하는 교사의 인식과 가정에서 유아에게 영향을 미치는 부모의 인식이 장애에 대해 부정적이라면 최대한의 교육 효과를 기대할 수 없을 것이다. 따라서 일반유아의 장애이해를 위한 교육은 일반 교사와 부모의 인식 개선을 지원하는 포괄적인 프로그램으로 계획되어야 할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, with the great emphasis on the right of education for young children with disabilities, it is forced to provide inclusive education to them in early childhood education. The positive and acceptable perception of disabilities of young peers in the classroom is a critical factor for successful inclusion. It is absolutely necessary for young children without disabilities to be offered Disability-Awareness Program before inclusion.
On the basis of previous studies, this study will address what components ought to be involved in Disability -Awareness Program. Although various activities such as direct, indirect experiences of disabilities, some information related to disabilities, storytelling, puppet shows, and simulation experiences are so effective, we can not expect the best result without positive perceptions of the teachers planning these activities and parents influencing young children without disabilities at home.
Accordingly, we suggest Disability-Awareness Program contain comprehensive support program to improve perceptions of early childhood teachers and parents.
