다문화가정 청소년의 학교부적응에 관한 연구 - 자아탄력성의 종단적 매개효과를 중심으로 - = A study on school maladjustment of multicultural adolescents: Focusing on the longitudinal mediating effect of ego-resiliency

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 우리나라 다문화가정에서 외국인 어머니가 경험하는 문화적응스트레스와 낮은 양육효능감이 청소년 자녀의 학교부적응에 미치는 영향을 종단적 관점에서 살펴보았다. 특히 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 고려하여 다문화가정 청소년의 학교부적응에 대한 원인을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 수집한 다문화청소년 패널조사(MAPS) 데이터 5개년도 자료를 활용하여 청소년 자녀 1,300명과 그들의 어머니 1,300명을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 어머니가 경험하는 문화적응스트레스와 양육효능감 사이에는 부적인 상관성이 발견되었다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육효능감은 청소년 자녀의 자아탄력성에 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 반면, 어머니의 문화적응스트레스는 청소년 자녀의 자아탄력성에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 셋째, 청소년 자녀의 자아탄력성에 따라 초기 학습부적응에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 시간에 따른 자아탄력성의 변화는 이후 학습부적응에도 부정적 영향을 미침으로써 자아탄력성의 효과가 종단적 측면에서 누적적 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 이 논문은 다문화가정 청소년의 학교부적응을 완화하기 위한 정책적·실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of acculturative stress and parenting efficacy of immigrant mothers in South Korea on the school maladjustment among their children focusing on the longitudinal mediating effect of ego-resiliency. We used Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS) data by National Youth Policy Institute(NYPI), which were integrated for the 5 years(2011∼2015). The cases were 1,300 adolescents and their mothers. The findings of this study as follows: First, the acculturative stress and the parenting efficacy of immigrant mothers have significantly negative relationships. Second, the parenting efficacy of immigrant mothers has a positive effect on the ego-resiliency of their children. Third, the ego-resiliency affect a school maladjustment on the baseline, and it also has an mediating effect in the adolescents’ school maladjustment longitudinally. Based on the results, political and practical implications in families, schools, and communities are discussed.
