Using Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS), we explores how career interruption of women affected women’ wages. Wage profiles were affected by recent work interruptions and past interruptions and experiences. We found 1 year of nonemployment reduced about 4% of wage, using fixed effect model which is similar to other studies. Low skilled workers didn’t suffer large wage loss but high-educated workers were vulnerable to large wage loss due to career interruption. Duration of career interruption was important but reasons of career interruptions did not affect wage loss.
