비판적 담론분석(CDA) 방법의 탐구: 기딘스, 부르드외, 하버마스의 분석모형 = Analytical Models for CDA: Derived from Theories of Giddens, Bourdieu and Habermas

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this article was to explore ways of developing new analytical models for CDA. For this end, theoretical notions postulated by Giddens, Bourdieu and Harbermas were drawn upon. Giddens` concept of structuration characterizing the relationship between structure and agency in terms of the dialectical relation between discursive consciousness, practical consciousness and unconscious on the one hand and rules, resources and symbolization on the other proved useful yielding a substantive analytical model or a tool for CDA. Bourdieu`s idea of symbolic violence which he says can occur with the collision of different habituses provided a useful model for CDA also. Habermas` critical view on modernism or the processes of modern industrialized societies, especially his notion of modern day bureaucracy penetrated by rationalism and technocratic/positivistic view of the social, also provided a model for analyzing texts from CDA`s perspective. The limit of this study was that most of the theoretical ideas taken by the researcher came from a single author, Jonathan Turner, though no one will probably dispute the fact that he obviously did such a wonderful job of explicating the 3 scholars in his book, The Structure of Sociological Theory (7th Edition).
