장애청소년 부모의 양육부담이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향 : 가족의사소통과 가족기능의 매개효과를 중심으로 = An Impact of the Parental Burden on Quality of Life of Disabled Adolescents' Parents : The Mediating Effect of Family Communication and Family Functioning

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 장애청소년의 양육자인 부모의 양육부담이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 양육 부담이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향에 대해 가족의사소통과 가족기능의 매개효과를 분석하고자 D시에 거주하는 장애청소년 부모 202명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 15.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도 및 기술통계를 실시하였으며, 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 위계적 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 장애청소년의 연령, 장애수준과 경제수준을 통제한 후, 부 모가 경험하는 양육부담은 부모가 인지하는 가족의사소통과 가족기능, 그리고 삶의 질에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 제시되었으며, 가족의사소통과 가족기능은 삶의 질에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 장애청소년 부모가 인지하는 가족의사소통과 가족기능은 부모의 양육부 담이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향에 관해 유의한 매개 효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 기초로 장애청소년 가족을 대상으로 하는 실천적 함의와 후속연구의 방향을 논의하였다.

The purpose of the this study was to investigate the impact of parental burden on quality of life among parents of adolescents with disability and to analyze the mediating effect of family communication and family functioning. For this purpose, the data were collected from 202 parents of adolescents with disability who reside in D city by utilizing self-administered questionnaire.
The results of the study indicated that the parental burden of parents were statistically significant and negative factors in explaining quality of life, family communication and family functioning after controlling age of adolescents, level of disability, and socio-economic status of family. In addition, parental perception of family communication and family functioning were significant variables in explaining quality of life among parents with disabled adolescents. Finally, both family communication and family functioning showed partial mediating effects in the impact of parental burden on quality of life among parents of adolescents with disability. Based on the findings of the study, possible practice implications for family with disabled adolescents and recommendation for further study were provided.
