산재장애인의 장애수용과 관련요인

국문 초록 (Abstract)

전통적으로 장애는 신체적 손상과 동일한 개념으로 인식되어 왔으며, 신체장애의 심리적 반응으로서 장애의 수용은 개인 내적 요인들에 의해 절대적인 영향을 받는 것으로 인식되었다. 그러나 장애인의 정체성은 개인적 신념과 가정에 의해서뿐만 아니라 가족, 친구, 고용주의 믿음 그리고 공공 및 민간 프로그램과 장애서비스 제공 등과 같은 환경적 요인에 의해서도 형성된다. 본 연구의 목적은 인구학적 특성, 신체적 특성, 산재관련 특성, 심리적 특성 등과 같은 개인적 특성과 개인의 환경 자원 특성 중 산재장애인의 장애수용과 관련성이 높은 요인들을 확인하고 이를 토대로 효과적인 재활프로그램을 개발하는 데 유의미한 제언을 제공하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상자는 20세 이상 60세 이하 전국의 산재장애인 400명이며, 조사방법은 자기기입식 조사방법을 사용하였다. 연구결과를 보면, 산재장애인의 장애수용과 관련이 있는 요인들은 성별, 연령, 신체 능력, 자존감, 사건충격정도, 고용준비정도, 일반생활만족도 등으로 나타났다. 따라서 산재장애인의 장애수용도를 높이기 위해서는 이러한 요인들을 고려하여 개입전략을 개발하는 것이 효과적일 것이다. 또한 재활전략의 초점을 잔존 신체능력의 극대화하기 위한 다양한 재활치료의 강화와 동시에 인지적 변화를 가져올 수 있는 심리ㆍ사회적 재활서비스 역시 확대하는 데 둘 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the degree of acceptance of disability of workers with injuries to find factors affecting acceptance of disability. Participants consisted of 400 Korean workers with injuries; 80% were males. Ages ranged from 20 to 60 years old. Each participant completed a self-administered questionnaire. Analyses were conducted using multiple regression to explore factors related to acceptance of disability.
The factors affecting acceptance of disability were sex, age, physical ability, self-esteem, the extent of impact event, employment readiness, general satisfaction.
Policymakers and practitioners working with workers with injuries should be aware of the importance of acceptance disability among such workers. There need to be develop intervention programs that expand the remain physical ability, recognize changes of cognition, and improve coping skills. Also, for injured workers with disabilities who wish to work, there is a need for enriched employment opportunities.
