    This study aimed to propose some suggestions which help to plan and practice college composition in Korea. Based on an analysis of trends in teaching composition from recent international research journals and academic books, this study focused on four prominent topics. The first one was about how to absorb new ways of composition based on digital technology into existing college composition curriculum. The second part proposed that college composition classrooms need to consider how to help students to engage in social issues surrounding them by participating in composition practices in real world. The third part explained the concept of writing in the disciplines(WID) and proposed consideration on how it can be applied to Korean college composition curriculum. The last part suggested several teaching methods which can help teachers to develop students` composition in current composition environments.
