This study aims to examine the possible implications that support Free Semester System as well as its limitations. Of the schools that are operating as Free Semester demonstration schools, two schools were surveyed; the principal and assistant principals, teachers, students, and parents were interviewed about the subject of the Free Semester. Three demonstration schools were also surveyed with respect to the information revealed through these interviews using a 5-point Likert scale in order to test the validity and generalization of the results. Through the Free Semester System, studies, teachers, and students were to be freed from the burden of testing to aid students express and explore their dreams and talents through a variety of activities and experiences. In addition, the school atmosphere was changed to a more free and active one. However, one limitation was observed: realization of the free-semester program doesn`t affect a decrease in private tutoring costs.
