    Th?e purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of authoritarian parenting on testanxiety. Furthermore, this study aimed to examine the role of socially prescribed perfectionism as a mediator in the relationship between authoritarian parenting and test-anxiety. For this purpose, 287 undergraduates completed the Parental Authority Questionnaire, Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, ?e Revised Test Anxiety Scale, and the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory-Trait. Results revealed that socially prescribed perfectionism partially mediated the relationship between authoritarian parenting and test-anxiety in university students. Implications for future research and limitations of the present study are discussed.
