혁명전쟁의 이론적 고찰과 현재적 함의 = A Study on the Revolutionary War Theory and Its Implication

The revolutionary war is a concept which was developed by Mao Zhedong during the chinese civile war and especially used by the people`s liberation war after the second world war. The nature of revolutionary war does still exist under the concept of The Fourth Generation Warfare and has an implication on the recent war strategy in the US`s conduct of anti-terror war in the Middle East, including the North Korean`s military strategy against South Korea. The revolutionary war concept has a special meaning for us in a sense that this form of war has been a consistant strategy of North Korea since the birth of regime, consisting of political war and military war, and a critical threat for the South Korea. Moreover, in a situation that the military and political instability are increasing in the face of the power transition in both side of Korea in 2012, it is necessary to make an theoretical analysis on the revolutionary war in order to take our course of action against the North Korean military provocation. This study will provide a theoretical base to deepen a understanding about the concept of revolutionary war and thus a systemic insight to grasp the entity of North Korean strategy.
