Compentency-Based Curriculum(CBC) is recently perceived as one of powerful educational approaches to meet various needs from complex corporate environments. In general, CBC is based on a competency model, consisted of knowledges, skills, attitudes and/or values, in addition to job-related behavioral indicators and proficiency levels of each competencies in real work place situations. Therefore, it is critical to understand well how to develop the competency model and curriculum in theory and in practice. However, because of the complexity and indeterminate nature of real-world situations, more holistic and flexible approach of a CBC should be taken by developers who want to develop the CBC with limited time, costs, people, and so on. Thus, in the study, based on the real cases and relevant studies of CBC, issues relevant to the methodology, especially procedures and techniques, in developing competency model and CBC were discussed, and, as the results, some implications to its practical application in the future.
