Propensity Score Matching방법을 사용한 사교육 유형별 효과 분석

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Using Korean Education and Employment Data(KEEP in 2004 and 2005, the present research employes the method of propensity score matching to estimate the average treatment effect of private tutoring on the probability of entering the selective universities and the percentile score of Korean College Scholastic Ability Test(KCSAT).
The results of the couterfactual analysis reveals that the average treatment effects of private tutoring for Korean and English subject are insignificant. However, the averate treatment effects of private tutoring for math subject on the percentile score of KCSAT are quite significant and large. This paper discussed some practical implications for government policies as well as future research.
