The business environment is rapidly changing. Knowledge sharing in virtual knowledge communities has been used as a result of endeavors to fit to new environments. This study examines the effect of interactivity on identification and knowledge sharing, and the moderating role of knowledge dynamism in virtual knowledge communities. To analyze the validity of the research model and the hypotheses, the data are collected from 331 virtual knowledge community users through the administration of structured questionnaires. The results of this study are as follows: First, interactivity has a positive effect on identification. Second, identification is associated with knowledge sharing. Third, the result of the analysis on the moderating effect indicates that knowledge dynamism is positively related to the relationships among interactivity, identification, and knowledge sharing. These results suggest that virtual knowledge communities can enhance knowledge sharing gains when they carefully combine interactivity, identification, and knowledge dynamism. Managerial implications, limitations, and future research directions are suggested.
