한국노인의 우울 관련변인에 관한 메타분석 = A Meta- analysis of the Variables Related to Depression in Elderly

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to meta-analyze the recent ten year studies on variables related to depression in elderly. The materials of this study were based on the 19 variables from 51 studies, which were selected from theses for doctoral dissertation's and master thesis and articles of Korean academy journals. The major findings were as follows : Among the 6 categorized variable groups, psychological variable group showed the highest average correlation coefficients, and demographic variable group showed the lowest average correlation coefficients. Variables of higher correlation coefficient(r≥±.3) were self-esteem, perceived physical health, life satisfaction, and IADL. Variables of lower correlation coefficient(r≤±.2) were type of living together, age, and with religion or without among the 19 variables chosen for meta-analysis. Homogeneity test showed average correlation coefficients of only 3 variables, with religion or without, participation in social activity, monthly income, were homogeneous(p≥.05), and others heterogeneous(p＜.05). As for results of second homogeneity test considering moderator variables(object of research, significance level, number of cases, source of papers), although significance levels of homogeneity became considerably high, It was not enough to be regarded as good moderator variables. Therefore, it is recommended that further research need to be considering another moderator variables in some variables.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 국내에서 지난 10년간 다양하게 수행된 노인우울 관련변인 연구 가운데 51개 연구와 322개 예측타당도 계수인 상관계수를 메타분석하여 연구결과들을 통계적으로 요약하는 것이다. 메타분석 결과, 심리적 변인군의 평균상관관계가 가장 높게 나타났으며, 인구학적 변인군은 가장 낮은 평균상관관계를 나타내었다. 분석을 위해 선정된 19개의 하위변인 가운데 평균상관계수가 .30 이상인 변인은 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도, 인지된 신체건강, IADL 등이며, 상대적으로 낮은 상관계수를 갖는 변인은 동거형태, 연령, 종교유무 등이었다. 하지만 동질성 검정에서 종교유무, 사회활동참여, 월수입 변인만이 통합된 평균상관계수가 동질적인 것으로 나타났으며, 나머지 변인에서는 이질적인 것으로 나타나 조절변인을 고려한 2차 분석을 실시하였다. 조절변인으로 연구대상, 유의수준, 사례수, 논문출처 등을 두고 분석한 결과 조절변인을 고려하기 전에 비해 하위 범주별 상관계수들의 동질성이 상당히 높아졌으나 조절변인의 효과로 보기에는 그 정도가 미약하여 일부 변인에 대해서는 별도의 조절변인이나 매개모형을 고려한 연구를 수행하는 것이 바람직할 것으로 판단된다.
