전망이론을 통해 본 북한의 핵 정책 변화 = 제 1, 2차 북한 핵 위기의 분석

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study proposes a cognitive model of North Korea's nuclear policy. Drawing on recent development of prospect theory in international relations, this study produces three hypotheses of how North Korea behaves regarding the nuclear issue: loss-aversion and risk-acceptance, risk-aversion under catastrophic loss, and domestic loss-aversion and international risk-taking. This model explains changes of North Korea's nuclear policy between confrontation and engagement during the first and second nuclear crises and discusses the implications for U.S. foreign policy toward North Korea and North Korea's nuclear policy.
