수도권 도시의 특성과 서울통근 통학률의 상호관계에 관한 연구 = A Study about Interlationship of Urban Characteristics in Seoul Metropolitan Area and Commuting Rate to Seoul

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the between urban characteristics that is concerned about location and self-sufficiency of the small and medium-cities in Seoul metropolitan area(SMA) and determinants of commuting rate to Seoul by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. So far, in disregard of Seoul metropolitans decentralization policy, the dominant urban growth in Korea has been witnessed mostly in Seoul and its surrounding capital region except a few large cities in other localities in the nation. As a consequence, the population and the industries have also been concentrated in capital region while most of the other local cities have suffered the relative stagnation. These results imply on management of the cities in SMA and propose the optimal level of self-sufficiency in the new towns of SMA
