그리스도교 생태영성을 찾아서: 성서의 생태적 이해 = In Search of Christian Ecological Spirituality: An Ecological Appropriation of the Bible

국문 초록 (Abstract)

영성은 삶의 궁극적 의미나 가치에 대한 인식과 실천과 성찰이며， 언제나 각 시대의 고유한 상황 속에서 구체적으로 표현된다. 현대 생태위기의 주요원인에는 근대 이후의 기계적 세계관에 바탕을 둔 인간중심주의가 있으며， 이를 극복하기 위해서는 생태적 세계관에 기초한 생태영성의 함양이 필요하다. 이 글은 생태영성의 기초를 성서에 놓음으로써 그리스도교 생태영성을 찾아보고， 이로써 생태의식의 고양과 함께 그리스도교에 제기된 생태적 비판에 적극적으로 응답하려고 한다， 생태영성의 특정으로는 인간과 자연 간의 밀접한 유대와 자연의 본질적 가치에 대한 깊은 인식과 실천을 들 수 있다. 성서의 핵심 주제의 하나인 “계약’과 창세기의 창조 설화나 예언서에 나타나는 인간과 자연의 밀접한 관계는 성서가 생태 영성의 원천이 될 수 있음을 보여준다. 이 점을 인식함으로써 그리스도인들은 보다 더 생태적으로 민감한 삶， 곧 단순과 겁약의 삶을 살 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

pirituality is the recognition and practice of the ultimate meaning or value of life and a reflection on it, which is always concretely manifested in the proper situation of each age. At the root of the present ecological crisis is anthropocentrism based on the mechanistic world view since modem times, and we need to foster ecological spirituality grounded in the ecological world view. By grounding ecological spirituality in the Bible, this essay seeks to search for Christian ecological spirituality and thereby to respond actively to ecological criticisms raised against Christianity with the elevation of ecological awareness Ecological spirituality is characterized by a recognition and practice of the deep bond between humans and nature and the intrinsic value of nature . Covenant, one of the core biblical themes, and the intimate relationship of humans and nature found in the creation accounts of Genesis and in the Prophets show that the Bible can be a source of ecological spirituality. By recognizing this, Christians may live a more ecologically sensitive life, that is, a life of simplicity and frugality.
