This study proposes four dimensions and develops objective measures of the dimensions through adapting various archival sources in response to calls for a refined conceptualization of organizational goal ambiguity and objective measurement of the construct. The objective measures met convergent validity tests based on either statistical or practical significance and had modest correlations with each other, suggesting that organizational goal ambiguity is a multifaceted construct which has several related but distinct dimensions.
