예비 교사와 초등 교사의 도덕 토론 수업 사례 분석 = A Case Study of In-Service and Pre-service Elementary Teachers` Instruction for Moral Dilemma Discussion

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze in-service and pre-service elementary teachers` instruction of moral dilemma discussion using a case study method. The researcher discussed the importance of moral dilemma discussion based on moral psychology and current elementary school curriculum and the difficulties to implement moral dilemma teaching in classroom. Furthermore, the researcher introduced Lawrence Kohlberg`s approach to moral dilemma discussion by Galbreith & Jones. Using his approach, two teachers applied moral discussion to their each classroom. The researcher analyzed the process of moral discussion and teachers` question using qualitative data. A qualitative research method was used for this research. The participant of this study were a school teacher, a teacher`s college student, and 70 fifth graders. All processes of teaching were videotaped and transcribed. The data were coded and categorized into 9 issues (characteristics of moral dilemma, use of alternative dilemma, ways of small group discussion, roles of coordinators etc). Finally the ways to develop teachers` questioning for moral discussion were presented.
