The purpose of this paper is searching for moral imagination as motivational factor of moral behavior and cultivating moral imagination in moral education. this paper consist of three parts. Firstly, I explored the meaning and role of imagination and moral imagination. Secondly, I examined theoretically moral imagination as motivational factor of moral behavior. Thirdly, I suggested some way to cultivate the moral imagination in moral education : To give the opportunity for perspective taking and empathy and narrative imagination. To explore a variety of solutions through moral reasoning. To give the opportunity for an integrated perspective.
