<천희당시화>의 성격과 위상 = A Study on the Feature and Place of Cheonheedangsihwa

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

]This paper has the aim to explain the feature of Cheonheedangsihwa and to adjust the place of it. Cheonheedangsihwa is one of the most important poetics at Korea in 1900s. It had been appeared anonymously in The Korea Daily News from November 09, 1909 to December 04, 1909. Cheonheedangsihwa is a talk and an essay on poetry, not so much as poetics. I have especially concern about the historical meaning of Danjae's Cheonheedangsihwa. Danjae established Cheonheedangsihwa by succeeding to nationalism of Yi Gyu-bo and identities of Korean pragmatists for instance, Hong Dae-yong, Park Ji-won, Yi Ik, etc. and by acepting Liang Ch'ich'ao's Eumbingsilsihwa. So, he created greatly characteristic poetics. Cheonheedangsihwa is the practical literary theory that makes a writer's responsibility clear in a turbulent period. Also it is an great essay on poetry that has an insight into a history of Korean poetry.
