한국 건국신화의 정치적 약호와 상징작용 연구 = A Study on the Political Code and Symbolism of the Korean Foundation Myths

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is research the political code of the Korean foundation myths and find out what is the political significance of that. Korean foundation myths have stated that new world and more advanced culture was started by the emergence of the King who was built country. Founding myths are presented specific events in a similar form and same order. This is indicates whether the heroes have what legitimacy through the structural code and processual code of the myths in narrative form. In Korean foundation myth, who was born and how was born is the most important qualification for building country. This means that Korean traditional thought of political power is concentrated in the sources of power and the order of the human world is similar to divine world.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 한국의 건국신화를 대상으로 신화서사 텍스트의 약호를 찾고, 그것이 어떻게 정치적인지, 어떤 의미에서 정치적인지를 보고자 한다. 한국의 건국신화는 주인공의 등장과 건국(등극)으로 인해 새로운 세계, 발전된 문화가 시작되었음을 말하고 있다. 건국신화는 특정한 사건들이 유사한 형태로 제시되며, 동일한 순서로 전개되고 있다. 이는 구성적 약호와 과정적 약호들을 통해 건국의 주인공이 결국 어떤 정당성을 확보하고 있는가를 보여주고 있는 것이다. 한국의 건국신화는 건국(등극)을 하기 위한 특정한 행위가 요구되기보다는 건국(등극)을 하기 위해 어떤 인물이 어떻게 탄생(출현)했는가가 중요시하고 있다. 이는 건국신화를 통해 나타나는 정치적 힘에 대한 한국의 전통적 사유가 권력의 출처에 대해 집중하고 있음을 보여주며, 권력의 시원이 천상과 연결되고 있는 것은 지상의 질서가 결국 천상 내지 신성한 세계의 질서와 닮았음을 의미하는 것이다.
