청소년들의 음란물 노출시기가 음란물 관련 태도에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 청소년들의 첫 음란물 노출시기가 청소년들의 성관련 인식 및 행동에 어떠한 영향을 끼치는지를 살펴보았다. 특히 성별에 따른 분석을 함께 실시해 음란물 첫 노출시기가 청소년에게 끼치는 영향을 더욱 구체적으로 분석했다. 이를 위해 음란물을 한 번 이상 이용해본 적이 있는 남녀 고등학생 527명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시했다. 연구결과, 음란물 첫 노출시기는 고등학생들의 현 음란물 이용, 급진적 성관계에 대한 인식 그리고 청소년의 음란물 이용규제에 큰 영향을 끼치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 초등학생 때 처음 음란물을 접한 학생들은 고등학생때 처음 음란물을 접한 학생들에 비해 현재 음란물 이용량이 매우 많았고, 성관계는 처음 만난 사람과도 할 수 있다는 이른바 ‘원 나잇 스탠드’(one night stand)에 동의하는 경향이 높았다. 또한 이들은 정부의 청소년 대상 음란물 규제정책 강화에 대한 동의 정도가 매우 낮았다. 한편, 이러한 결과는 성별과는 무관하게 남학생과 여학생 모두에게서 비슷한 패턴을 보였다. 이와 함께 연구결과에 근거한 정책적 대안이 함께 논의됐다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of timing to exposure to pornography on adolescents’ pornography use and perceptions on sexual issues. A sample of 527 high school students(girls 303 and boys 224) participated in the study. Results show that timing of exposure to pornography exerts significant influences on the adolescents’ current pornography use, perceptions of loveless sex, and attitudes to governmental policy for regulating pornography use. Particularly, those who were exposed to pornography in elementary school were most likely to be high on the current pornography use and be willing to accept one-night stand sexual intercourse than those who were exposed in middle or high school. In addition, they strongly objected to the government’s attempt to regulate pornography use. Moreover, it is interesting to note that girls and boys showed the similar patterns on the dependent measures. The implications of these findings for future research are discussed.
