The purpose of this study was to analyze the path model about the cultural competence of university students. University students(N=362) were administered questionnaires on cultural awareness, cultural knowledge, experiential education with multicultural people, empathy and demographic variables. The results indicate three things. First, the levels of cultural competence awareness were little higher. Second, there were differences of cultural competence according to cultural recognition, experiential education and empathy. And third, empathy mediates the experiential education between the cultural competence.
