The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of parent-adolescent communication types on the adaptation of adolescent school life. Questionnaires were sent to 500 first and second high students and 475 of them were collected and analyzed. The date were analyzed by the frequency, percentile, mean, standard deviation, Cronbach α, t-test, using SPSS WIN 10.0 program package. The main results can be summarized as follows. 1. When the father-adolescent communication were open, there was significant difference in adaptation of adolescent school life(in teacher`s relation, friend`s relation and school lesson). 2. When the mother-adolescent communication were open, there was significant difference in adaptation of adolescent school life(in teacher`s relation, friend`s relation and school lesson).
