아동학대 발생요인에 대한 생태학적 분석 - 경상북도 동부권 아동을 대상으로 - = An Ecological Analysis for the Factors Related to Child Abuse

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine child-abuse cases presented by a childcare establishment in an effort to identify the frequency of factors related to domestic child abuse and correlation among the factors. After a framework of analysis was built according to ecological Child Abuse Model, twelve independent variables were selected from among primary factors and they were grouped into five subcategories. 129 cases that were reported to a childcare institution in the eastern area of north Gyeongsang province from December 2004 to July 2006. The findings of the study were as follows:
First, when the frequency of the twelve variables related to domestic child abuse was analyzed, poor household economy was identified as the characteristic that was given the most weight, followed by conjugal discord, a lack of social support network, alcohol or drug, improper parenting style and defective personality or temperament.
Second, as for the frequency of the five subcategories related to domestic child abuse, the category of family characteristics was most influential, followed by local community category.
Third, as a result of investigating the correlation among the twelve variables associated with domestic child abuse, poor household economy was correlated to conjugal discord and a lack of social support network. The matters of alcohol and drug had a correlation to defective personality or temperament and experience of being abused. There was a correlation between backing for corporal punishment and problem behavior of child.
Fourth, concerning correlation among the five subcategories related to domestic child abuse, there was a correlation between the categories of family characteristics and local community, and between the categories of child and culture.
