청소년활동경험에 관한 현상학적 연구 = A Phenomenological study on Experiences of Youth Activities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is intended to provide empirical data for revitalization of youth activity as necessary by description of meaning on the youth's perspective about experiences of youth activity. For this, we performed in-depth interviews with 15 youths, who had taken part activities over a year in youth facilities' Youth Council from March to April of 2009. This study employed Giorgi's phenomenological methodology. Based on these results, experiences of youth activity can be divided into 15 themes and 3 focal meanings. The first focal meaning is that ‘Joyfulness’, which is defined as the following: freedom for bondage, having fun, being relaxed and having new experiences. The second focal meaning is that ‘Self- contentment’, which is defined as the following: accomplishing something, being proud. The third focal meaning is that ‘Any development’, which is defined as the following: confidence, leadership, responsibility, developing a mature mindset, positive behavior, future goals, care for youth, personal relationship development, and an awarness of their in community. The result of this study shows that it is very positive experiences, and becomes the main part of affirmative development for youths. Therefore, it is needed the various supports for youth activities to participate with active and affirmative attitude.
