부모양육태도에 따른 군집과 아동의 개인내적 특성과의 관계 -개인내적 특성 중 자아존중감, 내외통제소재, 자기통제력을 중심으로- = The Relationships Between Clusters of Parenting Attitudes and the Personal Psychological Factors of Children

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored the patterns of parenting attitudes by cluster analysis and examined group differences in the personal psychological factors of children (self-esteem, locus of control and self-efficacy). The subjects were 478 elementary students living in Seoul, Korea. Data were analyzed by cluster analysis and one-way ANOVA. The results from the cluster analysis based on the scores on the sub-factors of parenting attitudes suggested the presence of three clusters (‘Affection-Intimacy', ‘Indifference-Separation', ‘Hostility-Shrinking'). Additionally, three groups were found to be related to self-esteem, locus of control and self-efficacy.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 부모양육태도의 다양한 측면의 유사성과 차이점에 근거한 독특한 유형의 부모양육태도 군집을 분류하여 그 의미를 탐색해 보고자 하였고, 또한 분류된 양육태도 군집과 자녀의 내적특성과의 관련성을 보다 새로운 방법으로 이해하여 부모교육 등을 위한 기초자료나 부모-자녀관계의 증진에 기여하고자 하였다. 구체적인 연구내용으로 먼저, 아동이 지각하는 부모양육태도 특성에 따른 ‘군’을 분류해 보고, 다음으로 분류된 부모양육태도 ‘군’에 따른 아동의 개인내적 특성의 차이를 검증해 보고자 하였다. 수도권 지역 내 초등학교 5, 6학년을 대상으로 자료수집을 하였고, 총 478부의 자료를 최종분석에 포함하였다. 연구결과, 부모양육태도 특성에 따른 군집은 3개 군집이 가장 적절한 것으로 파악되었고, 각 군집의 독특성을 반영하여 군집1은 애정-친밀집단으로, 군집2는 무관심-분리집단으로, 군집3은 적대-위축집단으로 명명하였다. 군집에 따른 자녀의 개인내적 특성에서의 차이는 자아존중감, 내외통제소재, 자기통제력의 모든 변인에서 군집 별 평균 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 자아존중감에 있어서는 군집1이 군집2와 3에 비해 높은 자아존중감 수준을 보여주었고, 내외통제소재에 있어서는 군집1의 내적통제 수준이 가장 높았고, 다음으로 군집2, 군집3의 순서를 보여주었다. 마지막으로 자기통제력은 군집1이 군집2와 3에 비해 유의하게 높은 자기통제력 수준을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.
