빈곤층 여성의 우울에 대한 연구: 스트레스, 신체화, 사회적 지지 및 자기효능감과의 관계를 중심으로 = Factors Related to Depression in Indigent Women: Focused on the Relationship between Stress, Somatization, Social Support, Self-Efficacy and Depression

This research was designed to review how stress, somatization, social support, and self-efficacy among indigent women relate to depression, and then to use the outcomes of the research to finding solutions for their depression. The research survey was given to 186 women (the Beneficiary of National Basic Livelihood Security Act and the Near Poor Group), who live in 5 cities and guns (i.e.-administrative districts) of Gyeongnam Province in South Korea. This research indicated that depression, stress, social support (family support and out-of-family support) and self-efficacy differed in general among subgroups of indigent women, when they were compared in terms of income and educational experiences. It also revealed that there were significant correlations between depression and all other variables. Stress, somatization, social support and self-efficacy among indigent women had an effect on depression when age, income and educational experiences were the controlled variables.
