북한이탈 주민들이 인지한 적응의 어려움과 극복자원이 우울성향에 미치는 영향-남성과 여성의 비교 = The Effect of the Perceived Adjustment Stress and the Coping Resources on the Depressive Symptoms of the North Korean Defectors: The Comparison between Men and Women

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the perceived adjustment stress and coping resources and their effect on the depressive symptoms of North Korean defectors; and specifically compares the differences between men and women. The sample size of this study is 152, which makes it possible to do statistical inferences. As statistical methods, t-test and hierarchical multiple regressions are used. Age, the existence of the education and the period of residence in Korea are controlled. This study shows that the difficulty of the capitalist system of the women is higher than that of men. On the other hand the difficulty of searching job of the men is higher than that of women. As a post hoc analysis, the effect of the same rank perceived adjustment stress between men and women, such as economic difficulties, competitive society, cultural differences and the loss of the root on the depressive symptoms are analyzed and compared. This study indicates the cultural difference is an important factor affecting on the depressive symptoms for both men and women. The research result also shows that the self-esteem is an important coping resource for both men and women. Among social support, the emotional social support of the family and friends are important factors reducing the depressive symptoms for men. For 재men the instrumental social support from the authorities is important factor of reducing the depressive symptoms. Thus, the research result shows that effect of the specific types of social support on the depressive symptoms differ by the specific sources of social support for both men and women.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 북한이탈 남성과 여성들이 인지한 적응의 어려움과 극복자원을 비교하였으며, 인지한 적응의 어려움이 우울성향에 미치는 영향을 비교분석하였다. 샘플의 크기는 152명으로 남녀간의 차이를 분석하기 위하여 t검증을 사용하였고, 적응의 어려움과 극복자원이 우울성향에 미치는 영향을 측정하기 위해서는 위계적 다중회귀분석을 사용하였다. 자본주의체계는 남성보다 여성에게 더 큰 어려움으로 나타나고 있고, 구직의 어려움은 여성보다 남성에게 더 큰 어려움으로 나타나고 있다. 사후검증으로 열 개의 적응의 어려움 중 남녀의 순위가 같은 경제적 어려움, 경쟁사회, 문화의 차이와 뿌리의 상실에 대한 극복자원의 우울성향에 대한 영향을 회귀분석을 통하여 비교분석하였다. 이때 나이 및 한국에서의 재교육과 한국에서의 체재기간이 통제변인으로 사용되었다. 연구결과에 의하면 남녀 모두 문화의 차이로 인한 어려움이 우울성향에 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 북한이탈 남녀 모두 친척, 친구, 이웃의 숫자는 우울성향에 영향을 미치지 않았으며, 남성의 경우 가족이나 친한 친구의 정서적 지지는 우울성향에 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 북한이탈 여성의 경우 상관으로부터의 정서적 지지는 우울성향에 정적 영향을, 도구적 지지는 우울성향에 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 이 연구결과를 통하여 특정한 사회적 지지자원에 따른 사회적 지지기능의 영향은 성별에 따라 다르게 나타남을 알 수 있다.
