This study attempted to examine whether in the airline industry, the leadership types have any relations to the subordinates` organizational effectiveness, and their followership characteristics have an effect on their own organizational effectiveness. Research model and hypotheses were established through the literature review. The convenient sampling was employed and hypotheses were tested through a multiple regression analysis. The followings are to summarize the results of the study: First, task-oriented leadership is statistically significantly inter-related to the organizational effectiveness like job satisfaction, turnover intention, and job commitment. Especially task-oriented leadership has negative effect on followers` turnover intention. Second, in the relationship between human-oriented leadership and organizational effectiveness, the human-oriented leadership has only statistically significant effect on job satisfaction but no significant effects on both turnover intention and job commitment. Third, in the relationships between leadership types and organizational effectiveness, followership characteristics have partial moderating influence.
