스포츠 윤리철학의 동양철학적 접근 = An Oriental Philosophical approach of Sport Ethics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Physical education and sports, which are based on physical movements, are progressed as the form of human life, and are the part of human life, so they follow the rules and ethics of society. The standardized sport is the cultural whole that is fixed through the repetition of behaviors or physical movements between generations in a region where the sport begins, and is on premise of the standardized rules in the society. When behaviors of sports are transferred to a community and in accord with ethics of the community, the interpretation of ethical values in sport behaviors comprises the ethical standard of the community. Then, this paper focuses how various ethical subjects in sports comprise the traditional Confucian value system in Korean society. Confucianism has directed the civil ethical values in Korean society. However Confucianism has been distorted in the main current of Western cultures, and especially produced the negative images like personal connectionism, group cultures, and regionalism. However, we could find positive values of Confucianism in external phenomena like cheers, personalities of coaches and players, enthusiastic fans. After seeing those cultural values in a new light, we could get the community's consensus on sports in various ethical matters and take good civil's ethics.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 스포츠 현장에서 일어나고 있는 윤리적 제 문제와 동양사상의 접목을 시도하는 것이다. 신체의 움직임을 바탕으로 하는 스포츠는 어차피 인간의 삶을 이루고 생활의 일부분이기 때문에 사회(문화)라는 공동체 내에서 그 사회(문화)의 규범과 도덕 가치와 통섭한다. 이러한 문화의 독특한 속성에 따라 발생하는 다양한 스포츠의 윤리 문제가 한국사회의 전통 유교문화의 가치질서와 어떻게 접목되는가에 주목하였다. 다만 정형화된 스포츠의 틀은 그 스포츠가 발생한 특정지역의 각 세대들 사이에 면면히 이어온 특정 행위(신체의 움직임)의 반복으로 고착화된 문화의 총체로서 획일화된 해당 규칙(rule)과 구속을 전제로 한다. 따라서 한국사회를 중심으로 각종 스포츠의 장면에 나타나는 경기 외적 현상들(응원, 지도자의 인격, 선수들의 품성, 지역 팬들의 열기)에서 유교문화의 긍정적 측면을 발견할 수 있으며 이러한 문화적 가치의 재인식은 다양한 윤리 문제에 있어서 스포츠와 사회 공동체의 교감과 함께 건전한 시민윤리의 정립에 기여하게 될 것이다.
