      In this paper, I try to make clear the nature of educational practice differs from other activities. According to Oakeshott, every human activity whatsoever, involves knowledge. And, universally, this knowledge is of two sorts, technical knowledge and practical knowledge. When We practice a concrete activity without bearing in mind practical knowledge, the activity may be degrade to a means for gaining a result. In the sphere of educational practice, the abuse of this way of thinking is very serious. In the sphere of educational practice, consideration about practical knowledge is most important. The nature of educational practice is in the pursuit of self-understanding. According to Oakeshott, the content of subject is not just a fact but a idea which contains the history of human`s self-understanding. Students can attain the ability of understanding themselves more clearly by concerning about expressing of human`s self-understanding in subject. The process of learning is the process of endless conversation, in this conversation, students can understand themselves more clearly by recognizing the voices which give place and character to every human activity. And, this conversation is a contemplation and delighting which has no concern about making any extrinsic result. Students attain this ability by the teacher who has practiced this conversation for his whole life.
