내현적 자기애가 사회적 상호작용 불안에 미치는 영향: 경험회피의 매개효과 = Effects of Covert Narcissism on Social Interaction Anxiety: Mediating Effects of Experiential Avoidance

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생들의 내현적 자기애가 사회적 상호작용 불안에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이 과정에서 경험회피의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경기 소재 남녀 대학생 320명을 대상으로 과민성 자기애 척도, 수용 행동 질문지, 그리고 사회적 상호작용 불안 척도를 사용하여 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 내현적 자기애는 사회적 상호작용 불안과 경험회피를 유의미하게 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 내현적 자기애와 사회적 상호작용 불안과의 관계에서 경험회피의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 내현적 자기애와 사회적 상호작용 불안은 경험회피에 의해 부분적으로 매개되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 내현적 자기애와 사회적 상호작용 불안과의 관계를 밝히고, 내현적 자기애 경향성이 경험회피를 통해 대인관계에서의 어려움에 영향을 미칠 수 있음을 밝힘으로써 사회적 상호작용에서의 불안을 호소하는 내현적 자기애 성향자들을 위한 치료적 개입을 위한 시사점을 제공하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the effects of covert narcissistic tendency of college students on their social interaction anxiety. We also explored the mediating effect of experiential avoidance on the relation between covert narcissistic tendency and social interaction anxiety. The participants included 320 male and female college students. We used the Hypersensitive Narcissism Scale, Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-16, and Social Interaction Anxiety Scale. The results showed that covert narcissism accounted for significant variance in social interaction anxiety and experiential avoidance. The results also suggested that relation between covert narcissistic tendency and social interaction anxiety were partially mediated by experiential avoidance. The implications and limitations are discussed along with some suggestions for the future studies and counseling practice.
