발달재활서비스 제도개선 방안에 관한 연구 = A Study on Improvement of Developmental Rehabilitation Service

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to provide more effective policy suggestions by exploring assessment and improvement with regards to implementing and administrating developmental rehabilitation service covering from the existing ‘rehabilitative treatment and services for children with disabilities’ to its legal basis of 2012 「Public Welfare Act for Children with Disabilities」. For this purpose, problems and issues were examined by analyzing articles from the major domestic academic journals and policy reports, and data from policy debate and public hearing published from 2007 when the system was initially implemented to 2014. As result of analysis, this study suggested improvements for problems and issues on seven elicited themes including subject of service and its definition, eligibility of service provider, method of counting service price, determination system, better treatment for service provider, quality management of service organization, and service delivery system. This discussion has been repeatedly presented in the past few years, and policy alternatives have been suggested through various channels such as policy debate and research service. In addition, further investigation should be needed in order to identify and resolve many piled-up tasks apart from the problems and issues extracted from the analysis of the study.
